| The Landon Vocal Ensemble |
|
The repertoire for small chamber ensemble and
voices is often overlooked, yet with works by such masters as Schubert
and Vaughan Williams the power of such a combination is undeniable. The
Landon Vocal Ensemble features the beautiful voices of two exciting
young singers and with the support of the Landon instrumentalists their
repertoire is both vast and diverse.

Three concerto soloists here come together in
the dynamic ensemble of clarinet, violoncello and piano. Their
repertoire ranges from the great recital works of Brahms and Beethoven
to lighter entertainment and background music.

The Landon Piano
Quartet |
|
Originally formed specifically to perform
Messiaën’s Quartet for the End of Time, the Landon Piano Quartet
have now established as an ensemble. The composer John Carmichael
recently rescored his beautiful Sea Changes for the group.
Drawing on other members of the Landon Ensemble allows the Quartet a
great deal of flexibility in repertoire.

Formed of students from both the Royal Academy
of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the Landon Quartet
performs frequently in London venues for both light entertainment and
recitals. Regarded for their intimate and responsive playing the quartet
also work regularly to accompany the singers and wind players in the
Landon Ensemble.

The beautifully rich sound world of strings
and clarinet has inspired a great many composers, from Mozart to
Birtwistle. A warm and vibrant ensemble, the Clarinet Quintet plays with
a great deal of style and colour.

|
The Wind Quintet was formed at the Guildhall
School of Music and Drama and enjoys the distinction of having gained
the highest marks for their ensemble playing there in 2005. An ensemble
that is, historically, as established as the string quartet, the Wind
Quintet members draw on a great many styles and backgrounds to produce a
perfection in chamber music performance. |
