Music moves us, and we know not why; we feel the tears but cannot trace their source. Is it the language of some other state, born of its memory? For what can wake the soul’s strong instinct of another world like music?

Letitia Elizabeth Landon, 1802-38

The Landon Chamber Ensemble have quickly established themselves as one of the UK's leading young chamber groups. With some of the most talented young musicians from London's four leading music conservatoires, Landon strive particularly to champion great music by some of the lesser-known British composers of the past and present and explore music for more unusual instrument combinations, while bringing fresh energy to much of the established repertoire. Since being established in 2005, Landon have performed concert series at the Bluthner Piano Centre in Mayfair and The Cello Factory in Waterloo, and given performances at The Wigmore Hall, St Martin in the Fields and across the UK, including premiere performances of a number of works written especially for them.
